Sofia received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University in December 2025. At the Haystead Lab, she investigates diagnostic probe interactions in blebbing behavior in metastatic cancer cell lines. Sofia also works on studies examining radioactively labeled-molecule uptake in cancer and borrelia burgdorferi cells. Outside of research, Sofia enjoys yoga, baking, and traveling. Sofia plans to attend Harvard School of Dental Medicine in the fall.
